The fellowship, which is based on academic excellence and need, is open to minority students at the undergraduate and graduate level.
The recipient of the Hearst fellowship will serve as an intern with the Fund.
The Fund's goal is to introduce a diverse group of students to issues relating to philanthropy, volunteerism, and nonprofit organizations.
The recipient will be awarded a stipend up to $5,000.
Recipients may also make arrangements with their individual colleges or universities if they wish to receive academic credit for their experience.
The deadline for the spring semester is rapidly approaching.
