Words to Give By: Leading Voices in Advocacy Funding

Alliance for Justice:

Why should foundations support advocacy?

In our latest publication, Words to Give By: Leading Voices in Advocacy Funding, 23 of the nation's philanthropic leaders answer this and other questions related to advocacy in a compilation of inspiring interviews.

Jointly produced by Alliance for Justice and the Council on Foundations, this newly released collection highlights best practices for grantmakers supporting advocacy by exploring the personal stories and professional achievements of some of today's most influential voices in advocacy funding.

While making the case for foundation support of advocacy, these experts discuss lessons learned around making social change happen, identifying advocacy activities to support, and assessing the results of their support. Together, their stories offer a powerful and very personal look at the importance of investing in social change.

For a complimentary copy of Words to Give By, please contact Maria Clayton at maria@afj.org or by phone at 202-822-6070. You may also download copies of this report free of charge on Alliance for Justice’s web site, www.afj.org.
