Kaiser's Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured has released a fact sheet on the new citizenship documentation requirements for Medicaid applicants and enrollees that were part of the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005. A new report examining New York’s thirty year experience with requiring citizenship documentation from their Medicaid applicants provides insight for states that will require documentation for the first time this year.
